
Creation day of Khalsa cum 2nd anniversary of International Fateh Academy, were celebrated with great zeal and religious fervor. Celebration began with Arambh Sri Akhand Path to thank the Guru for his blessings and successful completion of the 2nd Academic session as well as to invoke His blessings for higher achievement in the upcoming session. There was continuous recitation of Gurbani for 48 hours. The students paid obeisance and listened to gurbani and felt a divine experience.

On 13th April a bedecked van (designed for this purpose) in which the holy Granth was enshrined moved through the streets of Jandiala Guru with a cavalcade in the form of Nagar Kirtan with Panj Piaras leading the procession, school band playing rhythmically and the students performing feats of martial art (Gatka). The marvellous sight presented, will always be remembered by the people of the town and the students and staff of the International Fateh Academy.

Bhog Sri Akhand Path was on 14th April, Students rendered the “Shabad Khalsa Mero Roop Hai Khas” with devotion. The Chairman of IFA, S. Jagbir Singh expressed his views regarding Baptism and exhorted the students to vow never to do bad deeds, only then could they claim to be real Khalsa.

The celebration culminated with the “Sarbat Da Bhala Kirtan Darbar” in the open grounds of IFA wherein high performing ragis enthralled the sangat with rendition of melodious Shabads. Present at the Smagam were:
1.Bhai Davinder Singh Ji Khalsa (Khanna Wale)
2. Bhai Randhir Singh Ji (Hazoori Ragi Sri Harmandir Sahib)
3. Baba Sewa Singh Ji ( Khadoor Sahib Wale) and other well known Gursikhs of the Panth

The students with their parents, friends, neighbours and relatives all converge to the open grounds of IFA for divine enrichment. The message was “Welfare of Humanity”(Sarbat Da Bhala) without discrimination of caste, creed, colour or sect. There was free kitchen for all from 12th to 15th April. |
