On April 13, 2011 the eve of Khalsa Sirjana Divas, the residents of the town of Jandiala were a witness to a rare spectacle presented by International Fateh Academy. The Management staff & students participated in the celebrations with great zeal & religious fervour. A bedecked van (designed for this purpose) in which Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji was enshrined moved through the streets of Jandiala Guru, Gehri Mandi. Dheray kot and Devidas Pura with a cavalcade in the form of Nagar Kirtan with ‘Panj Pyare’ leading the procession, school band playing rhythmically and students performing ‘Gatka’. The Kirtan teams rendered devotional hymns throughout. Devotees distributed fruits, soft drinks, snacks and parshad en route.
The celebration culminated with the ‘Sarbat da Bhala’ Kirtan Darbar in the aesthetically illuminated Academy Grounds wherein renowned Ragi Jatha’s- Bhai Davinder Singh Ji Khalsa Khanne Wale, Bhai Gurpreet Singh Ji (Hazoori Ragi-Sri Darbar Sahib) and the students of academy enthralled the devotees with their enchanting melodious hymns. Bhai Balwant Singh Premi- Nabhey Walian Bibian Dhadi Jatha aroused the heroic spirit in the congregation with forceful rendition of Varan’s. Sangat from far and near converged on the grounds of IFA to listen to the Kirtan. The Kirtan Darbar wound up with Ardas for higher achievements in the upcoming sessions. This was followed by ‘Guru ka Langar’.
