Grandparents’ Day was celebrated by the students of International Fateh Academy on the 25th October 2011 to honour their grandparents all of who were cordially invited for the special celebrations. The Chairman, S.Jagbir Singh & Vice Chairperson, Ravinder Kaur very graciously consented to be the Chief Guests of the day. A cultural bonanza was presented on the occasion wherein the little ones showered love & respect on their grandparents through their little skits & dance performances. The teachers too presented their views on the rightful place of grandparents in society & their unique rapport with the grand children. The Chief Guest spoke at length on the importance commanded by this generation a few decades ago but under the influence of western culture and the lure of foreign shores they have been deprived of the love, security & assistance to happily see them through their sunset days. He exhorted the students to respect and honour their grandparents, to give them small moments of joy and learn from their vast treasure of experiences.
